Let My People Go Surfing, by Yvon Chouinard

The ecosystem of a intelligent brand, in a broken down form of a book.

I would recommend this read to folk in entrepreneurship and start up culture, weather it be in the back shed focusing on the berries you are stewing for the farmers market or developing models for strategies across the big tech world.

Chouinard just has a completely different philosophy to the concept of being on top of business.. after all, it is a biography of a “reluctant businessman”.

The man is a legendary climber, environmentalist, and founder of Patagonia, he displays the honest courage that has gone into being at the top of one the most respected and environmentally responsible companies on earth.

Let My People Go Surfing is the journey of a man who brought a climate curious mind mixed with great mountain adventures and needs into the heart of his business life.

Personal growth of my own came from this read, in particular the breakdown of philosophies; from Product Design, Distribution and Supply Chain through to Financial and Management ideas.

A highly recommended read from me to you, the creator.
